Working Class Love Notes #19: Portals to Aliveness
Join me for some magic and spiritual grounding #InTheseTimes
Hello friends,
I’m interrupting my usual programming today because I want to share this incredible project my dear friends have created — the 36 Portals to Aliveness planner — and invite you to our online kick-off this Friday at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT where I’ll be facilitating a conversation with the creators shea in the catskills, Cory Nakasue, and Elena Solano. RSVP to get the link! (keep scrolling for a raffle!)
36 Portals to Aliveness is what I would describe as an adult esoteric Lisa Frank planner with great politics. When shea, my tarot teacher and friend, first mentioned she was considering making it, I almost jumped out of my chair with excitement. Now that I have my hands on it, I am, as David Lynch would say, “beyond the beyond.”
These times call for spiritual guidance, community, joy, enchantment, and creativity and this planner has it all. 🔮✨
From Shea:
Cory Nakasue, Elena Solano + I have published a unique, playful + profound planner/workbook that begins at the Spring Equinox on March 20 + walks you thru 2026 in 10-day increments of the zodiac. It’s called 36 Portals to Aliveness: a 2026 Journey Thru the Decans, + it’s essentially a field guide that YOU create! It includes tarot information, playlists, moon transits, journal prompts + experiential amulets to anchor your explorations.
You don’t need to know anything about tarot or astrology to make full use of this esoteric tool!
It’s for anyone who is:
interested in tarot +/or astrology
interested in creating their own personal field guide to time + the seasons
longing for an expansive menu of ways to observe cycles + document their experience
wondering how their spiritual practice relates to these unprecedented times
looking for existential nourishment
For those who can’t afford the printed workbook version, or who prefer to work with it on a tablet, there’s a free .pdf version available, too.
There is no charge to download the .pdf version, and: if you do + you're able, please make a meaningful donation right here—thank you!
A few Study Tarot Series Cosmic Jukebox specialists made an epic playlist for this planner, which you can check out whether you order the planner or not: tidal, spotify, quobuz
We hope you love it! shea, Cory + Elena 😘

I have Elena’s art hanging in my home and this reading is INCREDIBLE. Here’s my testimonial about it:
…a unique reading that validated needs and desires within me that I'd always struggled to articulate and own for myself. Throughout the whole reading, I found myself hand on my heart saying "YES, that's me." Not only do I feel more seen and understood, I feel more unapologetic and confident bringing all of myself into the world. The reading was a fresh, new take for me that still felt ancient in the best way. Plus, it gave me the theoretical framework that I love along with very tangible next steps of ways I could take what I'd learned and put it to work in my life. —Beth Howard, author of Song for a Hard-Hit People: A Memoir of Anti-Racist Solidarity from a Coal Miner's Daughter, forthcoming from Haymarket Books, Spring 2026.
Cory, Elena + shea recorded a podcast episode about the process of creating this planner. If you’re into process + how things get made, this juicy episode is for you!
We hope to see you on the kick-off call! And look at these GORGEOUS pics!
See you there?
— Beth
